PLAYBILL Celebrates 140 Years!
In celebration of our 140 years serving theaters, during the month of October, 2024, Playbills looked slightly different. We printed four versions, and they were handed out at the same time!The covers might have been in black and white; it could have even had a decidedly ’70s vibe. These assorted Playbill covers not only showcased the different eras of our magazine, they represented distinct eras of Broadway: from the Golden Age ’40s and ’50s, to the experimental 60’s, and the groovy ‘70’s.
